If the large diameter high pressure hose or its connections aren't weeping/leaking fluid, or it isn't dryrotted/cracked, likely no need to replace it. If the return hose needs replacement, it won't be anywhere near $400 & most autoparts stores can provide the low pressure hose. Careful not to cut through the return hose & damage the plastic pump fitting. Check the return hose to make sure its past the nipple/barb on the end point connections at the cooler & pump & that the hose clamps are in place & snug tight.ĭON'T twist, or flex the hose at the pump plastic connection, as its easy to snap off, so push or pull it to move the hose, or if your replacing the hose, carefully slit it length wise to loosen for removal.
